At its September 12, 2013 meeting, the LSBA Codes of Conduct Committee recommended various amendments to the Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct. The amendments are largely ministerial, except for a proposed amendment to Rule 1.15 that would require all Louisiana lawyers to reconcile their trust accounts on at least a monthly basis. These proposed amendments now go to the LSBA House of Delegates for consideration at its mid-year meeting. If adopted there, the amendments then go to the Louisiana Supreme Court for its consideration.
