Dotson brings a wealth of experience to the position. After earning his law degree magna cum laude from the Southern University Law Center, he honed his skills at Phelps Dunbar for nine years before transitioning to public service in Baton Rouge. There, he served as Chief City Prosecutor and later as Parish Attorney. Dotson’s career reflects a commitment to legal excellence and ethical leadership.
Taking over from Charles B. Plattsmier, who held the role for an impressive 28 years, Dotson faces the challenge of maintaining high standards in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
