February 2025 Discipline

These lawyers were the subject of Louisiana Supreme Court disciplinary orders of Louisiana Attorney Discipline Board recommendations published during the month of April 2025.

Louisiana Supreme Court

  1. Clifton W. Newlin. The Court granted the joint petition for transfer to disability inactive status.
  2. Timothy T. Yazbeck. The Court granted the joint petition for consent discipline and suspended the respondent for one year and one day. Prior to the filing of formal charges, the ODC had commenced an investigation into allegations that the respondent neglected legal matters, failed to communicate with his clients, and failed to expedite litigation. The respondent subsequently failed to cooperate with the ODC in its investigation.
  3. Michael DePetrillo. The Court granted the joint petition for interim suspension.
  4. Daniel B. Bazare. The Court remanded the matter to the disciplinary board for further consideration.
  5. Christopher Gross. The Court granted the petitioner’s request for a voluntary resignation from the practice of law in lieu of discipline.
