These lawyers were the subject of Louisiana Supreme Court disciplinary orders or Louisiana Attorney Discipline Board recommendations published during the month of July 2025.

Louisiana Supreme Court

  1. Michael J. Harris. The Court granted the ODC’s petition for interim suspension for threat of harm and placed the respondent on interim suspension.
  2. Niles Bennett Haymer. The Court granted the joint petition for consent discipline and suspended the Respondent for three years. Prior to the filing of the joint petition for consent discipline, the ODC commenced an investigation into allegations that respondent neglected multiple legal matters resulting in abandonment of one matter, failed to communicate with clients, failed to safeguard client and third-party property, failed to timely remit funds to clients and third parties, failed to cooperate with the ODC, engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation, and engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. In doing so, the Respondent violated Rules 1.3, 1.4, I .5(0(5), 1.1s(aXd), 8.1(d), and S.a(c)(d) of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
  3. Richard T. Conrad, III. The Court granted the joint petition for permanent resignation from the law practice of law.
