Louisiana Supreme Court
- Tanzanika Q. Ruffin (No. 2026-B-0353). The court granted the joint petition for interim suspension. The respondent and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel jointly petitioned for her interim suspension pending further orders of the court.
- Drew M. Louviere (No. 2026-B-00036). The court disbarred the respondent. The respondent accepted fees from clients to handle post-conviction matters, failed to perform any meaningful legal work, made multiple misrepresentations to clients and their family members that matters were being handled when they were not, failed to respond to discovery, failed to appear at court hearings, failed to provide clients with copies of their files, and failed to refund unearned fees. In so doing, the respondent violated Rules 1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5(f)(5), 1.16(d), 3.2, 8.1(c), 8.4(a), 8.4(c), and 8.4(d). Justice Guidry was recused.
- Jacob Ryan Joffrion (No. 2026-B-00157). The court suspended the respondent for one year and one day, with the suspension deferred in its entirety, subject to one year of probation. The conditions of probation are set forth in the petition for consent discipline.
